Hi. I had driver side door actuator problem. Replaced it. Everything working fine. But if the key is out after 1-2 mins, everything shuts off. Cannot open the door automatically. Manually open the door slightly and key in, everything is working fine. Noticed clock is flashing and returned to default setting. Like battery is disconnected. Remote control is not working as well. Can any of give me some advice please. Many thanks in advance.

It's likely to be your actuator that is faulty. To replace actuator go to Youtube and look for /watch?v=JHzTuaH93Pk which will show you how to replace it. Hugh from City of Glasgow

Hi One & All, I just purchased a Peugeot 1007 1.4 16v 3dr Sport 2006 Plate yesterday & I had the misfortune to have the 4 Button Key Fob fall apart in my hand as i went to disengage the alarm & immobiliser after I came out from some shopping on my way back from the Dealers I bought the car from. I've already been looking at a replacement for the Key Fob as I knew that the Dealership would drag their heels regarding this matter. Can anyone inform me of a reliable seller of 1 of these 4 Button Fobs that won't break the Bank as the one's I've looked at on Ebay/Amazon etc have all been slated for selling faulty or not as described merchandise. I know the key is a Blank & not worth trying to get it cut as it needs to be synchronised with the car. I'm only looking to replace the plastic 4 Button Casing that (I also know I need to do) will house my own circuitboard from the damaged casing. Any help would be appreciated & thank you.

I changed the actuators on both doors.when the key is in ignition the doors work off the buttons on the car.they open & close fine. When I pull the key out and wait a few minutes then they won't work.the buttons on the fob won't open/close doors or work the central locking either. I have changed batteries in fob,had the keys recorded at my local Peugeot dealer but they still don't work.what could be the problem.? Is it the central locking that's faulty(it does work if I put key in the door).could it be a dodgy sensor? I am lost at what else to try and don't really want to leave it to the dealer to fix as they charge far too much and can't give me an exact cost. Any suggestions us greatly appreciated.

Answers

Hi, I am having exactly same issue as yours. I have done some research on this and this is so called ECO Mode. 1-2 mins after taking your key out, nothing works. Cannot open the door. Whole electric system shuts down. I can open driver side door slightly and put the key in and get it onto ignition, everything is back to normal. This is frustrating. Some people saying that I should change my battery and some saying updating software. I am wondering how you tackled your issue please. Eugene Chang from New Zealand

Peugeot 1007

Hi, I have several questions, or maybe problems with my Peugeot 1007. Error occurred three months ago. After starting the engine, occurs the indicator of Handbrake fault. Subsequently, the driver's door and front passenger door do not close automatically. Once again occurs the indicator Left or Right sliding door fault. After starting the engine and moving from place, car remains in the start-up speed. The second speed is reached only manually. The car roars although still remains in the second speed level, RPM rises up. Either automatic or manual gear change dont work. After some time the indicator of Handbrake fault disappears and the car starts to work normally. The car was in the Peugeot official service where the problem with ABS was considered as the main problem and the hydraulic cylinder was changed to a new one. The car was returned to the car owner as repaired and in a good condition but after one day the problem appeared once again. Please where should be the problem? Can you give me an advice? Thank you for a help.

Hi. I have a 1007 peogeut. It doesn't want to start. We check the starter by removing it. It works by testing. When we turn the key. Starter clicks but won't start. What could be the problem. There is fuel in the line.

Answers

It could be your immobiliser chip in your key has moved or come out. If it's not close enough to where it should be when you turn the key in the ignition, then it won't start. I had this problem. CallEd AA out and everything. But the chip inside the key was loose then felol out. Luckily we found it popped it back in and all is good now. Hope this helps xx Sallie from Nottinghamshire

Hi I got a pegeout 1007 2-tonic 2006 petrol. When I put a reverse gear at a steep slope it doesn't go back but instead goes forward and I control that with a hand brick. And same thing when on gear 1 it goes back before it moves. What could be the problem

Answers

The 2 Tronic gearbox is simply an automated manual gear box using a clutch actuator to operate the clutch and another to change gear. No hydraulic drive or torque converter. When at rest on a slope the car must be held on the handbrake just as in a manual. A design flaw perhaps but not a fault. Neil from Kent

My wife just bought this 2005 1007 YESTERDAY. We vwere taken for a test drive and the car seemed to run great. We brought it home, parked it and didn't touch it until around 17:00 tonight. I turned on the lights and noticed they were a bit dim. We then drove about eight blocks to the store, went to back into a parking space and it wouldn't go into reverse even though the indicator said it was in gear. I pulled forward and parked, shut down the engine, went in store for no more than 4 minutes, came out and tried to start the vehicle and got " Transmission Gear Failure" "Right Door Failure" Left Door Failure", the "AUTO" light came on along wityh an asterisk. The car wouldn't even try to start! NOTHING! I tried removing the positive cable on the battery to reset the computer. NOTHING. The transmission Indicator Light on the dash pod wouldn't even come on. It would open either the right or left door and then nothing worked ... wouldn't even close the door. PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN. I've never seen anything like this in my entire life and she bought the car "AS SEEN". We can't afford to lose that L1,000 and now I don't know if we can afford to fix it! Thanks in advance.

ALTENATOR FAILURE. start the engine and check voltage at the battery. If it's not in excess of 12 volts you have a charging fault which will affect each and every control unit on the car. Neil from Kent

Wasn't the battery or the altenator. It was the computer. If there is any electrical or computer failure the whole entire system goes down showing transmission failure, door failure, and about every kind of failure you can think of. I hate the 1007 and we took it back after spending more then £400 in less then four days. But thanks for your replies. We are grateful. Daniel from West Midlands

I have anti pollution fault on dash is it serious

Answers

Cheryl, it's not massively serious but it is something you'll need to get checked out.. the anti pollution system is just that.. part of the emissions process that deals with minimising the harmful gases caused by combustion.... so essentially all you're doing is chucking out more pollutants to the air.. However, you have a fault indicated which means that a message is getting to the ECU from a few possible components which it is not 'happy' with.. It will get a little confused as to how to deal with the message and won't be able to properly adjust fuel air settings, possibly timing issues and others.. in the long term it may (but may not) cause damage so it is advisable to find out what is causing the error. It could be a faulty sensor or component. R Evans from Caerphilly

Had same problem, gases from engine come into cabin. The cause is, the seals on the injectors have gone and need changing Evz Evz from Carmarthenshire

Answers

I had this you have to jack up your car and put your arm through the engine and pull the lever manually which will pop the bonnet, there should be a gap just big enough for your arm, Josh Derby josh from Derbyshire

even with a flat battery you can manually unlock the door but will have to physically pull and slide it open to access the bonnet release catch only the keyed door will open till a new battery or fully charged battery is refitted once fitted the other doors should unlock from the fob or get in close the door and reopen via the dash switch and the doors should reset robert from Bedfordshire

Hello, I am looking at buying a 1007. My first question is are they any good? Second what the average running costs - petrol per month, tax, MOT/maintenance etc.? Lastly is there a spare wheel compartment?

Answers

I do 28th overall I have the 1.6 , automatic David from Somerset

I bought a second hand one from my local Peugeot garage and it ticked all the boxes for me. The sliding doors are heavy and so they add to the weight of the car considerably but they are great. People say they are slow to open, but not if you open them with the buttons on the key as you're walking up to the car. Parking on a slope can cause problems but not insurmountable unless your house is up a slope. But of course, parking is no problem. Many people are envious of my ability to get out of the car in what looks like a very small space. There is a monitor on screen that tells you how many mpg you're doing, and so it's very possible to learn to drive economically. I fill up with diesel and for about £50 a fill, I can get 500 miles out of it. Insurance is very low and tax is only £30. It is good on long journeys, though the back seats don't have a lot of room. We don't use them so they're usually folded down so we can carry stuff. It doesn't seem to need much maintenance. There's also loads of storage around the car. If you want a fast car, this is not the one for you but if you want to avoid speeding tickets this car can certainly help. It's easy to get in an out of and the boot is high off the ground too (yes, spare tyre hidden away under the boot) so if you have a bad back it's great. We love our Piggy but it's not for everyone.
