Replaced reservoir and pump , and it still won't work, pump has been tested and it works fine, but will not pump water up to window washer when fitted on car , anybody any ideas

Answers

If the pump works OK on a bench test but will not work on the car then you have a wiring problem or fuse gone. If the pump is running when fitted to the car but not delivering fluid you may have a blockage in the line or the filter. Or the wiring may be connected the wrong way round giving you reversed polarity, causing the pump to run in reverse. Hugh from City of Glasgow

Hello, I have a 2006 Peugeot 206 and today while I was driving, about 5 minutes in the car beeped 3 times then the sport and snow light on the dashboard started to flash. It then stopped but the next time the car had stopped and I went to accelerate I found I had to put more pressure onto the accelerator than I did before. I'm not entirely sure why this is happening so any help on what the issue is would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

After about 30 minuets drive today my stop light & warning beeps came on, the temperature gauge shot up but it would have been dangerous to pull up, about 2 minutes (roughly a mile) I pulled up turned the engine off and a loud noise from right side of engine that wouldn't stop till I disconnected the battery! Turned on ignition and temp gauge was normal, engine started fine and later I drove about 45 mins including sitting in some traffic and all was fine! Any clues as I'm clueless would be very much appreciated. Thanks

Since having a reversing camera installed, my car constantly beeps when I drive it with the roof up. I have taken it back numerous times but the auto electricians have informed me that it is the wiring which has been soildered, indicating there were originally issues before they put the reversing camera in. When I put the roof down there is no beeping. When I put it up, no beeping occurs until I go over a bump on the road, possibly indicating something has become disengaged? The beeping is similar to when I may not have closed the door properly or left my lights on and opened the door. I hope someone is able to suggest what I can do please? I love driving this car but not when there is constant beeping. Much appreciated Tania

For two days now I drive 3 to 4 miles and the temperature gauge goes as high as it can and the stop light comes on,the water is checked and the levels are good and appear to be cool (not steaming as expected) a buzzing sound can be heard under the bonnet even with the keys removed, after waiting 15 to 20 minutes all seems well and is good to go,( it`s a 2006 model) I usually do short runs and only notice this when I drive out of town, also took the oil filler cap off and a little steam or vapour comes of but very little, any idea`s ?

Hi , My 2006 206 1.4 verve petrol is very bad to start from cold when it does start it rattles and misfires then after a couple of minutes runs smooth. Jobs completed , new lambda sensor, new Coil pack, 4 new spark plugs, new cooling water sensor, new air filter, butterfly valve taken off and fully cleaned also checked air inlet for blockages (none). No coolant loss and no oil in cooling system, no water coming from exhaust. 206 Still a bad start from cold , had a diagnostic check and nothing came up as fault, no engine management lights come on dash when attempting to start from cold. What next !! any thoughts on this as two garages don't know what the problem is.

my car was hit by a van reversing into me after which the drivers seat was moving about when i drove home and i have had back problems since inpact. Insurance company have had car a month and garage said it needs a new seat insurance company have now got an independent inspection done and he has said the following. Upon closer inspection of the seat it appears a pivot pin has failed in the seat frame which is part of the height adjustment assembly, on examination of this failed pin it is clear that there has been a long term wear and tear issue due to visible beach marks in the sheared area, as has failure as a result of wear and tear there is no liability and this part will not be covered. only damage they will pay for is the following. Damage. New Parts Required:- Frt Bumper Grille, L/f Fog Lamp, R/f Fog Lamp. I have argued that seat was fine before accident therefore it was accident made it break. They said if your not happy go to ombudsman. They will do the damage agreed on list and then return car to me which they claim is unsafe to drive and that I will have to get work done at a cost of about £950.00. I am upset about this as it is the vans fault and they are claiming on company insurance for damage and I got a car I cant drive or afford to have repaired. any advice.?
