Hello, I own a 2006 2.0 HDi with 138k km. For last 20k km there is an issue with fuel tank, it seems something is wrong with its position or some filter in it as I can't normally put fuel but very (and I mean veeery) slowly, i takes about 20 minutes to go from low to full. I gave it for a checkup to licenced service center and they also couldn't get what is wrong and they recommended to change the fuel tank which is quite expensive and they can't be certain if this will fix the issue. Have anyone had similar issues, please share your experience. Thanks!

Hello Dear, I would like to ask about the Cooled compartment. I cannot find any way to switch it on. Do anyone knows how that cooler work?

Answers

Think when you but aircon on it chills the drinks compartment Martin from Bridgend

Open the compartment. Look for a small white piece of plastic on the right side of the opening. This slides up or down to open a little port that admits cold air. If you can stick a finger in, the port is open D Kitchin from North Yorkshire

Fan kept running on my Peugeot 807 when engine was turned off. This ran down the battery and I had to call out RAC to boost battery to get going again. Disconnected battery when I arrived home which cleared the problem although I'm not convinced that it won't happen again. What has caused this problem and how can I avoid it happening again? The fan has kept running in the past although turning on the ignition and turning it off again had always solved the problem although not the last time!

My handbrake on my Peugeot 807 does not disengage on the right hand side. When I apply the brake the cable pulls the mechanism down but when I release the brake it stays down instead of returning to its original position unless I lever it up with a pinch bar or screwdriver. I have tried WD40 on it and have tried tightening and loosening the cable but to no avail. Could it be the spring on the mechanism that needs replacing?

I'm replacing my cambelt can anyone tell me what the timing marks are please

Answers

If it's a hdi model there is a rod that goes into the flywheel at the front of the engine and there is a rod that goes into the camshaft wheel that the belt sits on both of these rods should enter the hole on the fly wheel and the camshaft wheel. If you put the flywheel rod in the hole and the camshaft hole doesn't line up it means you are 360o out ie both rods should go into the appropriate holes for the timing to be correct to fit the belt. had an ongoing problem with my 807, engine managemnet light keeps coming on when the turbos is used in 5th and 6th that also causes the turbo to shut off. any ideas what this can be ive spent a large amount of money trying to correct this problem and about 14month. has anyone had this problem and successfully had it fixed, would be greatful for any feedback thanks

Answers

i've had everything fixed by the dealer, the only fault left is low boost pressure, probably caused by stuck variable turbo blades. the turbo needs taking off and cleaning/servicing. hopefully no need to replace it. causes fault light the thrid time you go over 55mph (full fault test cycle). i bought a £30 fault reader from ebay and i cancel the fault light every time it comes up. when the turbo fails i'll pull the engine out and look at the turbo or just scrap the car. john bailey from Isle of Wight

Hello, my car didn`t start last night after being parked in my drive without being used for 3 weeks. Managed to start it with the help of green flag. This morning the engine light has come on! I`m not sure and I`m not very good with cars. Can someone please guide me before I take it to the garage and get a hefty bill for an avoidable task? Any comments on this will be gratefully received. Thanks!

Answers

Mine done the same, if the car battery on these drops below a certain voltage, the ecu's start dropping data, and it becomes corrupt. I got the AA man to drop all of mine and re-install the codes. After that found the battery was knackered and had to get a new one. All because of a faulty 'coms unit' John from Suffolk
